Per Josephson (born 1971) is a modern storyteller. He is known for art that travels in the digital world; he borrows, reuses and recycles materials, creating new and powerful visual entities. “I steal, sample, allow myself to be inspired by the great masters. This is the foundation of my art,” says Josephson, describing his unique style. Josephson’s work is typically seen in public spaces and on the streets rather than in museums and galleries. The Stockholm-born artist trained as an industrial designer and copy editor. In addition to visual art, he has written novels and short stories.
