Designer Göran Hongell was a pioneer of Finnish glass tradition. Hongell’s mouthblown drinkware collection, Aarne, won the 1954 Milan Triennale and helped usher in the minimalist Scandinavian glassware trend. Aarne proved its timelessness by receiving the American Table Top Award in 1988. The iconic collection continues to be featured in the permanent collection at New York’s Museum of Modern Art.
