Ineke Hans (b.1966) is a globally recognized London-based Dutch designer known for her contributions to product design as well as spatial and architectural projects. Her work explores the psychological roots of products, playing with the interaction between people, objects and space. She is valued for her practical yet simultaneously hybrid design approach with a focus on detail, vernacular, function and clarity. Her international collaborations include Arco, Cappelini and Magis. She has been showcased worldwide including in the Victoria & Albert Museum (London), Museé des Arts Décoratifs (Paris) and The Art Institute of Chicago. Throughout her accomplished career, Hans has received the Red Dot Design Award and Design Plus several times. Hans’ first collaboration with Iittala, Plektra, is a stackable, multifunctional hybrid between a side table and stool.
