Nathalie Lautenbacher (b.1974; prev Lahdenmäki) is a Finnish-French ceramic artist and designer who lives and works in Helsinki. She graduated from the University of Art and Design Helsinki UIAH, where she continues to work as a researcher and instructor. Lautenbacher designs ceramic everyday objects and unique pieces. Her work has been exhibited throughout the world. In 2002, she was awarded the Design Plus for her innovative Fire series. Lautenbacher’s Fire votive designs for Iittala use ceramic foam to recreate the glowing snow lanterns that adorn Finnish homes.
