IITTALA GLASS FACTORY

The design story of Iittala began in 1881, and the story continues at the Iittala Glass Factory. Even today, Iittala’s professionals bring designs to life and make well-known glass objects such as Aalto vases, Aino Aalto glasses and Oiva Toikka’s birds.

From the visitors’ balcony, you can watch how skilled glassblowers shape molten glass into Finnish design classics.

Iittala Glass Museum to close in its current location

The Iittala Glass Museum will close in its current location from 3 May 2026. The closure is due to the lease of the museum premises coming to an end, and operations cannot continue in this location. We are currently exploring options for the future of the museum.

Iittala Village will continue to welcome visitors. The factory visitor balcony remains open on weekdays (Mon–Fri) from 9:00 to 20:00 (free access), and the Iittala Store and other shops in the area operate as usual according to their opening hours.
